So, here we go. It is packing time, and I’ve gotten my furniture down to a compressed lovsac [oversized bean bag], a lamp, and maybe a desk (haven’t decided yet). I have a sleeping bag, a pillow, and my clothes. Oh, and I have a rally car!
I suppose I could live in the trailer I’m using, but it needs to go to its new home at Team Oneil Rally School. Once again, I suppose I could live in the trailer.
The truck is currently getting an alignment by people who know what they are doing when it comes to trucks. This is my first large truck purchase, I’ve begged, borrowed and almost stolen until now from various people to help pay for Bender the rally car. Now that Bender is pretty much built, I can start making payments on an old 2001 Ford F250, which we have named.. Zoidberg.
This 7.3 Turbo Diesel (also powered by Garrett) is pretty much a beast. It is already equipped with a Banks chip and I’m looking forward to putting on a new intake and getting it tuned for power & towing. The paint will need to be addressed, but the interior is good and it will do the job when it comes to towing.
So stay tuned for updates and I move across the country to the new location. Can’t wait to meet the folks at Kinetic Motorworks and discuss what other COBB TUNING and PERRIN upgrades we can do on Bender, and see what weight savings we can do for the Rally America Season in 2013, as well as setting up Bender for the FP class in SCCA Solo with just some minor suspension/inlet restrictor changes.
